We just celebrated Clara's 9th birthday! She was so lucky because we had a house full of friends over for the horse class. So they all shared birthday cake with her and enjoyed the sunshine with her in the yard.
Then as a family we went to "Wonderful buffet" for dinner and came home to open gifts.
Her brother and sisters gave her some awesome gifts. A Lego set from Jacob. A miniature American Girl doll (Felicity) from Kylie and a handmade matching skirt set, one for her, one for her American Girl Doll, from Stephanie. Mom and Dad gave her an easel and art sets to go with it.
After gifts mom and Clara stayed up late to watch a movie and snack on taquitos. At our house 8,9, and 10 years old are big baking years where you learn to bake and cook on your own. Clara who had been baking for about a year tried to take the pan out of the oven by herself for the first time. Ooops! Still need more practice on this!
But she was so brave and went right back to hanging out with mom until they both got so tired they had to call it a day.
Happy Birthday sweet girl! You are such a joy! Our family was blessed the day you were born to us.
What a blessing that young lady is. I am so glad we have been blessed to get to know your family. Each and everyone of you is a blessing to us. Clara, you are growing into a beautiful young lady. May this new year bring lots of blessings and continued growth in your life. We love you.
