Once summer break is over for school kids it is time for vacation! We left on September 8. We took our time driving down to Chehalis where we were going to be staying for the first 4 nights.
We had lunch at Cabela's. Daddy and Stephanie had Bison burgers. Everyone else got typical pizza and soup lunches. We got daddy a warm Cabela's sweatshirt for fall. Everyone got a small souvenir- Some binoculars, a pocket knife and some stuffed animal friends. Later we shopped the outlet mall down near our hotel. We got some cast iron cookware for mom and some new duffel bags to replace some old tattered ones that needed to be retired. Kids went for a swim and then we turned in early so we could get up early the next morning for the Rodeo.
Vacation begins!
Kristen,
ReplyDeleteYou are going to love your cast iron pans. As long as you keep them well seasoned, they will be like those pans that "don't stick" and they clean so easy. Just remember NOT to use soap when you clean them. Soap can get into the pores and then you will need to reseason them. Were you all at the Great Wolf Lodge? We love Cabelas. There are two here in Missouri and they are building another one south of us in Arkansas. The popular outdoor store here is Bass Outlet, the headquarters is here in Springfield. I am looking forward to hearing more about your vacation.
