Rodeo Day:
This was the day we did the rodeo at the Puyallup fair. It was $5 tickets for the first rodeo of the season and we got in free to the fair with a can of food. It was the first rodeo for most of the kids. We plan on coming back on bracelet day so they can ride unlimited rides. Today was just for the rodeo and walking around a bit until we got tired. Not for rides or games....
The rodeo was a blast! This is an annual event for us now!
The little girls were ready for something different so we went to get free face painting.
Next it was time for the pedal tractor pull. My Camera didn't cooperate and I lost some pictures here. Jacob, Clara and Anna all participated. Jacob and Clara moved onto the 2nd round. Both were cut in that round. Nobody advanced beyond the 3rd round anyway so they did well! I feel bad I don't have more pictures of it. It was CUTE! And they worked hard.
The tractor pull was for 5 and up. We didn't even notice that Elayna cared until we were walking away afterward. She started to cry and said "I never got a turn". She looked so sad that we decided to go back and ask if she could just sit on a tractor for a picture.
Not only did they let her sit on it but they took time to show her how to pedal it and then....
Gave her a ribbon! That few extra minutes they took for her made her day!
Each year one of their favorite places to go is the pioneer exhibit. So we headed there next.
Ok, well... maybe a few games...
Daddy wins the first Jumbo of the fair playing his favorite carnival game. Turns it into the best fair day ever for our wolf lover. You rock Daddy!
What was to be just a rodeo and a quick look at the fair turned into an 8 hour event. See you in a few days again fair!
I used to love going to the rodeo when I was a kid. They are soooooooo much fun. Our girls' favorite part is the pioneer exhibit too. I see your girls were able to experience washing with a scrub board and using a hand wringer:) What an awesome time you all had. It is fun "trailing" along with you all on your vacation!!
