Great Wolf Lodge Trip- Part II

This was the first night we actually stayed at the lodge but we couldn't check in until 1:00 so we had some time to kill.  Daddy found us a fun (and free!) place to learn for a couple hours.  The water reclamation plant in Olympia has a large children's learning center with TONS of hands on activities.  Who knew you could have this much fun learning about water and how our communities take care of it.

Clara uses a giant calculator to calculate how much water she uses in a day.

Oh dear...

This hands on activity shows how solids are removed from waste water.

Anna builds a path for the water

Here Anna learns that the greenest way to bathe a pet is to have an imaginary pet and wash it with imaginary water.

Really though, for my fellow homeschooers, there are lots of hands on activities here and some good water science activities including microscopes set up to look at bacteria and parasites.

Off to the Lodge!

  1. That looks like a lot of fun. I had never heard of it. Great find, Mr. Stetson!
