Anna and Elayna started swim lessons today! It was Elayna's first time in Swim lessons. The weather couldn't have been more perfect! Sorry about the quality of the pictures. The sun was working against me.
Good question Lanita! Anna took swim lessons almost all summer last year. They combined all the younger kids for this first session so that is how they both ended up in the same class. Elayna has only been in the water at Great Wolf Lodge, a couple hotels and our deep tub in the master bath. Combine that with her general fear of new people/situations and it could have been a recipe for disaster. I pictured her sitting 10 feet away from the pool for the first 5 lessons. BUT Anna was amazing. She took her by the hand and invited her into the water. And whenever Elayna started to look apprehensive she would say to the teacher "I need to go sit by my sister" I should have blogged about that I guess! It was so sweet!
Anna, is such a sweet heart. I am glad she is so sensitive to the needs of her sister. Of course, it helps being raised in such a loving, close family. You are so blessed.
How did Elayna do? She didn't look too sure of herself. Anna looked pretty comfortable.
